PERIAR THE CHAMPION OF THE BACKWARD CLASS

EV Ramasamy naicker fondly called "Thanthai Periar"(Father Periar) was a social reformer and politician in india who was the founder of "Self Respect Movement and DravidarKazhagam"(Dravidian party) on the caste system and severely dealt the act of discremination , He attacked those who used the system to take advandage of masses through subjugation.

Periar felt that the small numbers of caste fanatic group has created discrimination in order to have domination over the society. He also felt that the caste system in south india is created due to Aryan's influence linked with arrival of the so called higher caste people from the northern part of india.

In 1952 Rajaji has introduced a new educational policy which was called"KULA KALVI THITTAM"(Heriditory education scheme) under which the students will have to school in morning and in the evening they have to learn the work of his father which was related to the caste ,thus a carpenter's son will learn the work of carpentery and a priest son will learn the art of conducting pooja through chanting manthras. This scheme was launched as a clever device against Dalits and other backward classes. And EVR demanded the with drawal and has raised protest agasinst this as he felt that it was caste based aimed at maintaining catse hegemony . This scheme was dropped by Mr.Kamaraj after realising the fact that the protest bears genuine cause .

Periar realited that the domination of brahmins was not restrictedto the sphere of administration and worship. it was found that in tamilnadu most of the hotels indicated on the name boards that they are maintained by brahmins and only served to brahmins . Periar organised protest against of the word "For the brahmins and By the brahmins

As soon as periar entered in the congress party he observed that the brahmins had many more government jobs than the non brahmins . He wanted the congrees government to pass a resolution demanding communal representations in education as well as in the government jobs. His suggestions were not taken by the then government he left the congress to form self respect movement and finally the madras government has passed that resolution on communal representation in education and employments.

The only draw back of him is that being an atheist he never believe in the God existance and his sayin like

"There is no god exist"

"who invented god are fools"

"Those who preach god are scoundrels"

"Those who worship god are barbarians"

recieve poor response from the public as they felt he would not have touched the sentiments of hindus When periar has boldly criticise the hindu god , he dont have the courage to criticise muslims and christian god as he fear of the consequence it will create.,but it is no doubt that he played crucible role for the uplift of the backward communities better than Dr.Ambedkar

2. Keep blood presure, sugar, cholestrol under control and have periodic checking.

3. Eat healthy diet.

4. Avoid alcohal.

Rudraksha is botanically known as Elajo carpus . It has both medicinal and devine properties.

According to Puranas there was a demon namely Tripurasur who was very strong and have devine power that he cannot be defeated by any one . Lord Bhrama and Vishnu prayed Lord shiva to destroy the demon and accordingly he was killed by Shiva . Lord shiva has closed his eyes for meditation and when he opened his eyes ,tears felldown on the ground and a rudraksha tree was formed . Rudra means Lord shiva and aksha means tears

Rudraksha is available from one face to 14 faces

One face rudraksha : It is refered as the incornation of Lord Shiva and the people who wear attain real state of the supreme spirit and become self conquired over materialistic desires.

Two face rudraksha : It is considered to be the form of arthanariswar and the person who wear it will get peace of mind

Three face Rudraksha : It will have three facet in the form of agni the person who wear will be blessed by agni who will protect from all the ailments.

Four face Rudraksha : those who wear this will have immense memory power.

Five face Rudraksha : It has five facets.The ruling planet is guru and those who wear it will over come negative effects

How to identify the real rudraksha

Original rudraksha will have magnetic field around it . Place the rudraksha in between two copper coin ,the rudraksha will rotate itself.

Real rudraksha will be immerse in water and will not float

Place the rudraksha in a glass of water enough to cover it and record the temparature of the water by using a thermometer.after 30 minute note down the temparature again and you can observe 1 to 2 C raise in temperature

Rudraksha from nepal is cheap and original and rudraksha should be removed while attending funeral.

North verses South

Right from the period of Jawaharlal nehru to Manmoham singh south,especially tamilians were neglected in all aspects.NO recoganisation and honour were given to the tamilnadu freedom fighters like VO.Chidambaram Pillai , Rajaji, Bharathy and veera pondia katta bomman in camparision with north freedom fighters like Lokamanya Tilak,Bhagath singh ,Sardar patel and Nethaji .The attitude of the government was such that Northern part of india was growing up and southern part was declining in all aspects .

During Indra gandhi period the Katch Island which lies in the border of both india and Srilanka was given to the Srilanka inspite of the tamilan"s protest and fishing rights were denied to Indian fishermen especially to tamil fisherman . The katch island is a place where plenty of varieties of fishes were abandon,that is the reason why tamil fishermen were crossing the border .It has become a regular activity that Tamil fishermen were attacked brutally by the Srilanka Navy force . indian Government instead of taking stern actions against srilanka is requesting srilanka to stop the attack and the attack is continued stil today

In Srilanka war around one lakh tamilians were killed by the Fanatic Raja bakshe government and many western countries has protested against the inhuman activities and wants that KIller raja bakshe should be tried in the international court for his brutal activities and should be punished .But the indian Government does not raised its protest against the killing as it thinks that Tamilians are not indians.

In the case of Cauvery water and Mullai periar issue which were the life are death problems for the agriculturists in tamil nadu was not taken seriously by this government and spite of the supreme court , and cauvery tribunal's verdict as the concerned states refuse to iimplement the verdict the government would have taken serious action on the states. What is the reason for the long silence from the government ? .The main reason may be that Mr Rajaiv gandhi was killed by a tamilian from Srilanka .INDRA GANDHI was also killed by a punjabi is the goverment showing any hatrate against Sikhs? R we not giving the highest post to a person who belongs to sikh community . And why there is disparity among sikhs and tamil ?

Hussain and his arts

The death of legendary artist Mr.MF Hussain is a great loss to the world of arts. Even though Hindus never used to talk ill about a deceased person some facts about this conroversial person canot be denied by any one.

In 1963 some of his works become controversial due to his portroyal of Goddess Durga and saraswathi in nude and sexual manner .which triggered the angry of the Hindu believers. It is a fact that an artist does not have any limitations and boundaries for his artistic work and will have the right to paint as per his vision this artist should not have touched the sentiments of HIndu people. If any one hasbeen in his place he would have apolised and explain himself suitably.But he was so adament and went to doha on self exile .Some people were telling that his art should be seen with artistic vision but i will ask them one simple question "Will they see his work as artistic vision if Hussain happened to paint Jesus christ , fatima and prophet mohmad in nude ?Muslims are minority in this country and they should know their limitation before touching the sensible religious matter
