THE GOLDEN MEMORY OF MY FIRST TRAINING AT PUNE

I have joined in the Govt of india overseas Communication service as JUNIOR MECHANICAL ASSISTAND ,after serving as “SUPERVISOR” in Enfield India

During 1972 even though my qualification is higher than the post required .My basic was Re150/+allowances and the total emolument was Re.367/ and I was happy to hold a government post even though the salary was less than what I had from the previous company

During that period only telex machines were used for foreign telegrams and the main earning of OCS was only from telegrams. I was working in Telegraphic maintenance and development centre and our work was keeping the maintenance

Of telex machines,transmitters and KBP Key Board perforators and Time stamp machines .We were coming in shifts along with JTAs and TA from technical and for minor faults we used to attend it in the circuit itself and for major fault we will give good machines for replacement .Our Forum friends Mr.ramachandran ,Mr.S.Srinivasan.Mr.R.Srinivasan ,Mr.Venkatesa perumal were also coming on shift with us.

After few year I and my collegue Mr.Desiga Vinayogam were selected for training in telex machines at Pune. The order was given suddenly we could not find time to reserve ticket for the journey and we have decided to perform the journey by unreserved compartment . Self and Vinayagom went to central station and found that there was more crowd in the unreserved compartment and there was no place for even standing ,finally we jumped into a compartment and unfortunately that compartment was a reserved for Military (FOWJI COMPARTMENT) and a north Indian soldier has shouted at us to get down immediately as it was reserved only for the military people .We don’t know what to do and finally one tamil soldier came to our rescue and he pacified him in such away the north Indian soldier finally allowed us to travel in that compartment .That compartment was in a horrible conditions and there was no cushion for the seats but only small wooden blanks was there and no berth was available .We sat on the wooden seat and try to sleep but were unable to sleep due to fear of some other soldier may force us to get down .

The train has reached Pune at 4.00Hrs in the morning and bus for Dighi was only available at 5.30 Hrs. and we had decided to sleep in the railway platform itself .

At about 5.00 One policeman has waked us asked in hindi whom we were and what for we were sleeping there . We have shown our ID card and explained him the purpose of our visit.

At about 5.30 Hrs we have boarded in a bus which was bound for dighi and the conductor asked us where we wants to go and I said “Dighi” and again asked me which place in Dighi and I said VSNL dighi and it seems that he could not understand what I said and finally I told him to give 2 tickets for Dighi wireless station.

Finally we reached Dighi and we were allotted accommodation in the hostel . That hostel was fully crowded by north Indians we found difficulties in communicating with them even though I have studied hindi in my school days. In the night we were unable to sleep well due to new place and new atmosphere

Next day we got up early and went to the canteen for our break fast .We were provided with corn flake mixed with milk and we were hesitating to take it because the stuff was new to us .We were given Alu parotta with sabji .we were having the habit of eating idli, dosa we found difficulty in chewing chapattis and parottas.

After finishing the breakfast we were going for the training class suddenly some roaring noises were coming from the sky and we saw 5 caravan planes were flying at greater speed and we were told that the military people were going for the trial run.

After the class was over we simply return back to hostel for the reason our stomach was paining and we were suffering from dysentery and most of the other people were having the same problem . Finally we found that it was due to the Cotton seed oil which was used for cooking. Immediately we went toMr.Surendran who was incharge for the hostel and reported about our problem and asked him to change the oil immediately and has given warning to him that if the oil is not changed we were not going to take any thing from the canteen . Mr.surendran has instructed the head cook to change the oil immediately

Every day after the class was over we used to go Pune using our office van and have visted all the main places in pune including Budhwarpet as a spectator and not as a customer and use to return to Dighi using the last trip of the van.

In one Saturday and Sunday myself and mr.Vinayogam have decided to visit Mumbai with out informing the concerned official and went round all the main places of Mumbai. Finally we came to a pawn shop as Mr.Vinayaqam wants to taste

Baba 120 a chewing tobacco . /In spite of my warning He has taken baba 120 and swallowed the juice that caused him to swoon. I don’t know what to do ? if any thing happened to him I may be responsible for that.Finally I have dragged him to a nearby place called “KAREEM COLLEGE” and made him to lie down and has sprayed water on his water. Mr.Vinayagm has regained his conscious after one hour and we returned back dighi safely .

During the holidays I used to play table tennis with other colleague .One gentleman from Delhi whose name I have forgot was playing brilliantly and his back hand play was very good and he has defeated almost all the persons from other branches except me . I have observed his play keenly and found that he was weak in facing spin sevices..I have beaten him 3-2 games using my top spin services .

After 10 days our training program came to end and we felt sorry for parting with our new friends . During our training session Mr.Goerge , Mr.Surendran and many staffs were very cordial and helped us in many ways

• India is a fast developing country which have to solve lot of burning problem like ,illiteracy . unemployment ,inflation and lot of other problems .My question is that “Is it necessary to conduct By- election to the constituencies where the seat is vacant due to death of the MLA and lot of money and men power is wasted Nether the ruling party nor the opponent party is going to loose or gain in this by election . Instead of conducting the election the party which has lost its MLA can nominate another person for the post , after all people has selected its party’s candidate to represent them. It is high time that the election commission will have amend suitable rule for the by election thereby lot of money and men power can be saved

One day, while a woodcutter was cutting a branch of a tree above a river, his axe fell into the river. When he cried out, the Lord of river appeared and asked, “Why are you crying?”

The woodcutter replied that his axe has fallen into water, and he needed the axe to make his living.

The Lord went down into the water and reappeared with a golden axe. “Is this your axe?” the Lord asked.

The woodcutter replied, “No.”

The Lord again went down and came up with a silver Axe. “Is this your axe?” the Lord asked.

Again, the woodcutter replied, “No.”

The Lord went down again and came up with an iron Axe. “Is this your axe?” the Lord asked.

The woodcutter replied, “Yes.”
The Lord was pleased with the man’s honesty and gave him all three axes to keep, and the woodcutter went home happy.

Some time later the woodcutter was walking with his wife along the riverbank, and his wife fell into the river. When he cried out, the Lord again appeared and asked him, “Why are you crying?”

“Oh Lord, my wife has fallen into the water!”

The Lord went down into the water and came up with Katrina kaif “Is this your wife?” the Lord asked.

“Yes,” cried the woodcutter.

The Lord was furious. “You lied! That is not true!”

The woodcutter replied, “Oh, forgive me, my Lord. It is a misunderstanding. You see, if I had said ‘no’ to Katrina kaif, you would have come up with priyanka chopra. Then if I said ‘no’ to her, you would have come up with my wife . Had I then said ‘yes,’ you would have given me all three. Lord, I am a poor man, and am not able to take care
of all three wives, so that’s why I said yes to Katrina kaif .”

MAN : - What is 1000 years to you ?

GOD : It is only a second to me .

MAN :- And what is one crore rupees to you ?

GOD :- it is one paise to me

MAN :- Then give me one paise.

GOD :- wait for a second .

INDIAS STANDS IN THE SRILANKA ISSUE

INDIAN STANDS AGAINST SRILANKA

Uproar in the Indian parliament by all the opposition parties for insisting India to vote in support of the decision by the Human Right organization to enquire into the genocide committed by the tyrant Rajabakshe . Mr .Krishna has given evasive reply to this and told that India will decide its stand after scrutinizing the facts about the decision considering the historical relationship with Srilanka . Mr.krishna unable to realize the fact that the historical relationship only has killed thousands of tamil civilians . Mr Krishna is famous for his hatrate for Tamilians in the Cauvery water dispute when he was the chief minister of Karnataka and it is quite natural for him to support the srilanka government . Mr.Pranab has gone to the other extend stating that India will never vote against any country and he has forgotten the fact that India has already voted against Israel in UNO. If Punjabis ,gujrathis,maharashtrians and biharis are killed like this will the attitude of india will the same ?

We are not fighting for the tamilians and we want justice for the Tamilians from the Indian origin who were killed brutally by Rajabakshe for no fault of them . If raja bakshe government has not committed any killing against the human rights why he should be afraid of the international enquiry ?.

India should vote against Srilanka in this issue if not our national integration will be disintegrated.

KUNDANKULAM AND THE CHRISTIAN MISSION

CHRISTIAN MISSIONS AND KUDANKULAM

“stop harassing the Christian community “ this is the request sent to the prime minister of india for freezing the bank account of Tuticorin Diocesan association for their role in funding the Kudankulam power project agitators.

The Bishops further said that no one could stop them from giving moral support to the kudankulam agitators who are protesting against the atomic project. Let these Bishops first explain that their mission is religious oriented or political and if they give answer that their mission is far religious purpose only they should not involve in the political policy matter. And if they say that their mission for fighting with political policy matter let them start a party in the name of CHRISTIAN LEAGUE PARTY ,like MUSLIM LEAGUE PARTY and fight with political injustice. And if they tell that they are fighting for the common problems of public , let them first fight against caste discrimination ,,untouchability and unemployement problems

The Bishops further aided that even if they wont support the agitation the villagers will continue their protest . How this is possible for the poor villagers who are fighting for their daily bread are able to continue their agitation for more than 8 months with out the financial back up from the Christian missions.

For argument sake let us agree for that this project is dangerous to the human safety and close it, let the agitators give answer to a simple question “Can we close all the atomic projects in this country and make the country totally in dark ?”

In my opinion those who tends to stop the progress of a country are surely an Antisocial elemets and they are to be tackled in a toughest manner instead catching a crane by applying butter on its head

ELECTION RESULTS

CONGRESS AND THE RECENT ELECTION

The recent election results from Uttarpradesh , Punjab ,Goa, and Uttrakant ,the voters have given clear verdict and showed their anger against the congress party

And the incapable central government and its policies . Once again Rahul Gandhi has proved that he is an unlucky man as far as congress is concerned.One of the arrogant woman chief minister has been rejected by the public and who are other two who are going to follow her , i leave it to your imagination

One Gandhi (Mahatma) told once that the congress should be dismantled after the independence and these two Gandhis(Sonia, rahul) are doing the same gradually.

The curse of the tamilians who were killed in srilanka will never allow the congress Party to rule any states in future .These result against them will definitely have heavy impact on the coming parliament election also

As far as Tamilnadu is concerned congress party is a party in coma stage and in the coming MP election it will be buried completely for ignoring the problem of tamil civilion in srilanka I WHOLE HEARTLY congratulate the voters for Igoring the congress party in all the four states.

MY EXPERIENCE

DRINKING MILK UNDER A COCONUT TREE

There is a saying in Tamil that even if you drink milk under a coconut tree it will be taken as you are consuming toddy . These saying proved to be real in my experience . One day I have visited to my dear friend who was admitted in Stanley medical hospital in Chennai . It was visiting time for the doctor and visitors were not allowed for another one hour . I don’t know how to kill the time and since all the departments were fully crowded I simply walked to different section and finally came to a department where there was no visitors and stood out side . All the departments people has to cross the Section where I was standing . Most of the people were looking at me strangely and some ladies started to abuse me . I don’t understand what wrong I have committed . I turned my head to see what was the name ot the department.

INDIA ATTITUDE TOWARDS SRILANKA TAMILIANS

INDIA AND THE SRILANKA TAMILIANS

During the fighting between singalese military force and LTTE so many innocent civilians were killed and many tamil women were raped and killed mercilessly and in order to bring normalcy in Srilanka , with good intension only Mr.Rajiv Gandhi , then prime minister of india has sent Indian Peace keeping force to srilanka to fight with the terrorist to stop the killing of civilians but instead bringing peace in srilanka the force has killed many civilians and raped many tamil women ,. This triggered the anger in the public as well LTTE a noted terrorist organization , and this anger turned against India and Mr.Rajiv Gandhi . The result was Mr >Rajiv was killed by LTTE and no one in this country have justified the action of LTTE because terrorism in any form and in any country should be condemned and should be punished severly, The punishment should be in such a manner that it will send warning signals to the similar organizations which intends to commit similar terrorist acts.

Because Mr.Rajiv was killed by the Tamil militant the central government has completely neglected the welfare of tamilians in srilanka and was a blind spectator to the mass killing of tamilians by the tyrant Raja bakshe , Instead of protesting over this india has given military training to the srilanka military forces thereby indirectly involving itself in the mass killing of tamilians . When all the European countries like America,france and Norway has raised their voice against this killing india was keeping its mouth shut . No one in this country favors the actions of Terrorist groups like LTTE and supporting the tamil civilians in srilanka does not to be taken as support to the terrorist groups,

When the accused in the Rajiv’s murder case Nalini was given death sentence Mrs Sonia Gandhi was magnanimous in converting the death senatance to Life time imprisonment and why that magnanimity was not shown to the tamilians in srilanka ?, Raja Bakshe , a culprit in the genocide should be tried in the international court and suitable punishment should be given to him .

Now there is a great chance for india to prove that it is not against tamilians , Countries like France , America and Norway have taken a decision to try Raj bakshe in the international court and their decision is given for voting In UNO human rights organization and india should vote against Raja bakshe in this matter enabling the Human Rightorganization to try Raja bakshe in the international court .
