STAGES OF HUMAN LIFE

As per the Hindu vedas the life cycle of human is divided into four catagories namely Brahmachariam , Grahastam , Vanaprastham and sanyasam

BRAHMACHARIAM :- Means student between the age group 12to 24 and his major duty is to study on initiation into brahmacharya by means of UPANAYANAM that means bringing the disciple near guru for receiving the initiation of manthras. Discipline is his norm and devotion to guru is duty.The first lesson of the student is the performance of SANDHYA VANDANAM and recitation of GAYATHRI MANTHERAS

GRAHASTHAM :- age between 24 to 48 . After gurukul vasam he graduates himself into the family life and with wife's assistance he will carry his dharmic duties .the life of grahastha is called "JEEVA YAKNA" a life long saga of self sacrifice for the benefit of others in the society.

VANA PRASTHAM :- It is the 3rd stage between the age 48 to 72 .it is considered to be the the beginning real adult education that evaluate his performances.

SANYASAM :- This is the final stage beyond 72 age. It is a total detachment from worldly pleasures including the basic necessities. Business , family, secular life,the beauty and hope of life and the success of maturity have now been left behind and eternity alone remains
