feeling . Our indian constitution permits its people to travel any where in india
and they can settle in any where in india. But it is very sad to note that some states like karnataka and maharashtra are adapting the son of soil policy in employment . A few years a ago the applicants from the other states who were appearing for "Public service commission" examinations for railways post were attacked by some fanatic groups who ware in favour of son of soil policy . This highly against the indian Constitution .Similarly In maharashtra ,the shiv sena is against out sider
domination in the state . when i was given promotion on transfer to mumbai many maharashtraians has asked me that why i have accepted the offer and came to mumbai . Their intension is if i decline the offer it would have been given to a maharashtrian locally . But in chennai all states people were staying and working comfortably . And some of our calcutta friends who came on transfer , after the retirement they have settled here.
