WHY SOME PEOPLE HATE GANDHI

When I surf in the net I came across an interesting article on Gandhi

About why some people hate Gandhi  by an unknown author and his

Reasoning . It is the opinion of the author only and not mine .Hence

I request you to give your views on this forward

Gandhji was a brilliant statesman , a master strategist

And possibly one of the greatest leaders in india ever

Had .Yet some people who knows the old history hate

Him . Here are the reason behind their dislike

Gandhi and the jews  

According to Gandhi jews should have given heroic

Response to Hitler by committing mass suicide . This

Has aroused the world and the german against Hitler

Rejection of the revolutionaries

When Madanlal Dhingara, a true patriot kill Sir Curzon

The aide to the secretary of state in india in London ,he

Was excuted  and Bhagat singh was hanged for 

Throwing bomb to the central assembly . After these

Incidents Gandhi wrote in his Young india

“These heroes had conquered the fear of death ,let

Us bow to them 1000 times for their heroism . But we

 should not imitate their act in our land of millions of

destitute and crippled people. If we take to the practice

of seeking justice through murder , there will be a

terrifying situation ,our poor people will become

victims of of our atrocities . by making adharma of

violence  we shall be reaping the fruit of our own

action .

And when the countryside was seething with anger

Over the execution of Dhinakara and Bhagat singh

Gandhi words came almost a shocker . A more

Serious allegation is that Gandhi never forced the

British to commute Bahgat singh’s sentence .

Failure of the non co operative movement s

From 1920-1947 Gandhiji prematurely ended two

Of the three big struggles that he launched

a)    A non co operative movement

b)    Civil disobedience movement

And the third one was Quit india movement

Forcing undemocratic changes with in congress

Crisis at tripuri , ousting of Nethaji

In 1928 Nethaji  a charismatic leader from the left

Had been the choice as the president of congress

How ever the top leadership of the congress working

Committee decided counter Nethaji with Gandhi

Has decided to put up Pattabi Seetharamayya as the

Candidate against Nethaji and despite the strong support

From the congress and Gandhi Nethaji won the election

And Gandhi declared “ Pattabi’s defeat is my defeat “

Soon Gandhi supporters resigned from the congress

Working committee and Nethaji found himself isolated

And with out co operations from  Gandhi resigned with in a

Few months and decided to launch his own front

Foisting Nehru as the leader of the congress

And Indian first prime minister

Every thing started in early1946 when Indian national

Congress had to select a new president . It was

Accepted that the leader chosen would become the

First prime minister independence india .  Three

Candidates were in the race Acharya kripalani ,

Nehru and sardar Patel . Sardar was easily the most

Popular , every one knew his efficiency and toughness

For tackling difficult situations and 12 out of 19 congress

Committee has nominated him .  And right from the

Beginning Gandhi favored the inexperienced Nehru

And his reasoning was that his bristish education

Was an asset and would be easier to carry on the

Negotiation with british . another point Gandhi made

Was that while Patel would agree to work as Nehru’s

Deputy ,the reverse might not happened

Eventually in difference to Gandhi , Kripalani , nominate

Nehru and withdrew from the race . Patel has no choice

But to follow his colleague so that Nehru could be

Elected unopposed . And Dr, Rajendra Prasad later

In his statement said “ Gandhi has once again

Sacrificed his trusted lieutenant Patel for the sack

Of glamorous Nehru

Why was Gandhi not given a harsher punishment

By the british ?

Most of the Indian revolutionists were sentenced

To very harsh punishments . Those exiled to the

Andaman cellular jail were Batu keswar Dutt,

Tilak Veer Savakar and Sohan singh .  how

Ever Gandhi and the top leaders of congress

Were never subjected to such harsh punishment

If the british thought that Gandhi was as dangerous

As Bhagat Singh why was not he tried under IPC

For waging war against the country and subsequently

Punished severely ?

Here comes another theory popularly known as

“THE SAFTETY VALVE THEORY “  in fact  the 1885

Birth of the congress has been alleged for providing

Indian with a platform to bring out their resentm,ent

Vocally . Its aim was to divert the minds of Indians

From any sort of violence , Gandhi and the political

Leadership of the congress could be seen as an

Extension of the safety valve and keeping the

British rule immune from violence and any real

Threat from anarchy.

Gandhi views on the hindu caste system

While social reformers of their time were trying

To break apart the practice of caste system

Gandhi was a staunch defender of this system

Arya Samaj , a hindu movement that aimed to

Caste boundaries came under especially

Scathing attack  Gandhi quote was

“ A shudra cannot be called a Brahmin even

If he possesses all the quality of a Brahmin by

Inheritance . He should never claim his right ‘
