What is the reason for the poor status of police at present ?

This Following factors are the real reason for the police to

Loose confidence and respect from public

1.     Political pressures from the ruling party.For example

If a ruling party man was arrested for his criminal

Activities and charge sheeted Immediately the MLA
of the particular area will urge the police to release

The culprit and there was no other alternative for the

Police  except to obey the order . And most of the Brothel

Houses and casinos were run by the relatives of ruling

Parties MLA . and police hands are tied and they were

Unable to take any action on them as they belongs

To the ruling party

2.     Very Low salary to the police who are taking their life

 Risk  to catch the criminals . That is the main reason they

Go for the bribes .The area Criminals and rowdies will pay

A lumpsum amount to the station head on monthly basis

To ignore their criminal activities  which will be shared with

Top police officers and constables .

Unless and until the above mentioned problems are solved

It is very difficult for the Tamilnadu  police to regain their lost

 respectand confidence
